Overview
Manage the global operational response of INTERPOL’s Cybercrime Directorate, aligned to the objectives of the Global Cybercrime Programme. Develop and implement strategies, procedures and systems that underpin INTERPOL’s operations against cybercrime.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational plans targeting global cyberthreats.
- Coordinate activities and initiatives to contribute to preventing, reducing and detecting cybercrime.
- Ensure victims are offered support and mitigation strategies.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments for planned operational events.
- Supervise the secure handling and dissemination of intelligence.
- Conduct operational briefings, tasking and debriefings.
- Support the briefing of and liaison with the media.
- Deliver virtual and in-person presentations on cybercrime or cybersecurity.
- Lead, inspire, and develop the Cybercrime Operations team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships.
- Understand and apply INTERPOL internal policies and guidelines.
- Perform any other duties as required by the hierarchy.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in investigating cybercrime.
- Strong background in conducting operations in cybercrime and knowledge in international co-operation/investigations.
- Experience in working or studying in an international environment.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision.
Qualifications
- Experienced police officer, police staff or official able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience/training in the sector of police area/law enforcement agencies.
- Three to four years University education (Masters or Doctorate would be an additional asset).
