Overview

The Graphic Designer will design and put together the NYSA Yearbook and other NYSA design assets, working in collaboration with the Yearbook Coordinator and volunteer NYSA Photographer(s). The role focuses on preparing newly arrived refugee youth for the New York City public school system.


Key Responsibilities
  • Create assets for NYSA 2026 brand identity including T-shirt design, slide deck templates, and classroom posters.
  • Develop concept(s) for the NYSA yearbook design and layout.
  • Produce the design & layout within the timeframe laid out.
  • Insert photos into layout and produce final for printing.
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with the team to ensure yearbook related activities take place according to schedule.
  • Receive and integrate feedback.
  • Work with team to ensure accuracy of all elements of the yearbook.
  • Attend NYSA training.
  • Provide all files to IRC.
Required Experience
  • Graphic Designer with at least one year experience
  • Strong experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience working with diverse populations desirable
