Overview
The Country Coordinator Consultant type A will serve as Secretariat for the Country Team, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and information management for a project focused on advancing children's rights along the Central Mediterranean Route.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Secretariat for the Country Team, maintaining staff directories, convening meetings, drafting agendas and notes, and saving documents.
- Ensure timely and organized communication to partners at country, regional, and global levels.
- Escalate issues to global focal points when consensus cannot be obtained at country level.
- Undertake desk review and co-author the Central Mediterranean Joint Report.
- Assist with the feedback, revision, design, publication, and dissemination of the report.
- Co-organize a Regional Convening for government delegates and stakeholders.
- Develop a route-based framework focused on inclusive child-sensitive SOPs, tools, and referral pathways.
- Support the implementation of interoperable information management systems.
- Facilitate the generation and dissemination of evidence on good practices and costing of models.
- Coordinate quantitative and qualitative reporting for the Country Team.
- Collate and share inputs to the final report for the Netherlands.
Required Experience
- Substantial experience in government liaison, partnership management, and multi-agency coordination.
- Extensive experience in Government Liaison, including engaging with government counterparts, facilitating high-level meetings, negotiating, and navigating complex political or operational environments.
- Expertise in Child Protection and Migration Issues, including familiarity with child-sensitive approaches, cross-border case management, and the protection needs of migrant children.
- Analytical and Reporting Abilities, including coordinating qualitative reporting, synthesizing inputs, and drafting analytical reports.
- Leadership in Multi-Partner Settings, including coordinating and facilitating collaboration among diverse partners.
Qualifications
• A Master's degree in one of the following fields is required: international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field.
