Overview
The Regional Coordination Officer will coordinate activities and agenda within the Regional Director’s Office and arrange and coordinate policy and strategy development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the RD, including participating in strategic objective development, supporting management teams on projects, preparing reports, and overseeing decision implementation.
- Ensure updating and finalization of Regional Office’s strategic reports.
- Coordinate Internal Government Framework (IGF) Work stems.
- Monitor and report on strategic topics relevant to the MENA region.
- Coordinate with various units and personnel for report finalization and administrative tasks.
- Represent MENA Regional Office in key internal meetings and policy discussions.
- Enhance coordination of new program related policies/strategies and revisions.
- Monitor and support the implementation of existing program policies and strategies.
- Support the RD Office in data collection, results-based management, and evaluation functions.
- Support the RD and SMT by ensuring timely delivery of team meeting agendas, minutes, and other items.
Required Experience
- Five years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s degree; or seven years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
- Experience in working for and liaising with governmental authorities, other national/international institutions of NGOs, including on sensitive issues.
- Experience of delivering high quality products within short timeframes, such as speeches, Briefings, Analyses.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience on global migration issues.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business Management, Social Science, Economics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
- University degree in the above fields.
