Overview
The Business Support Associate will facilitate smooth operations of the management front office, reporting to the Country Director and Deputy Country Director. The role involves coordinating activities, managing correspondence, and ensuring effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the overall planning of activities for the Country Director.
- Assist the Country Director in daily operations to reach operational objectives.
- Respond to, review, or draft management reports and correspondence documents on behalf of the Country Director.
- Ensure internal communication to staff from the Country Director is disseminated thoroughly and consistently.
- Coordinate, review and/or prepare strategic background documents, talking points, and briefs for the Country Director.
- Attend interagency, government and internal meetings with Country Director, ensuring consistency and clarity in the Note of the Records and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Coordinate all functions of the Country Director's front office managing other staff as necessary.
- Ensure requests, feedback and concerns from staff related to the Country Director are dealt with professionally, confidentially and appropriately.
- Liaise with other relevant actors in COs and HQ regarding follow-up on issues, priorities and decisions concerning management.
- Maintain strong relationships with counterparts in other UN and (I)NGO agencies.
- Organize travel with Country Director and accompany him/her when necessary.
- Coordinate with Unit Heads and internal stakeholders for draft talking points.
- Contribute to building and executing the Country Director's social media platforms, messaging, and audience identification.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required by the Country Director.
Required Experience
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in information management, data collection and events organization.
Qualifications
A university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in International Relations, Economics, Journalism, Communications, Social Sciences or other field relevant to international development assistance.
