Overview
This UNV assignment supports the National Observatory's mission by contributing to data analysis, visualization, and reporting activities. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and analyzing datasets, categorizing, processing, and visualizing data, and contributing to the development of data presentation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze datasets feeding into the National Observatory.
- Categorize, process, and visualize data in a scientific manner to support Observatory reporting.
- Contribute to the development of data presentation tools and dashboards.
- Assist the team in ad-hoc statistical tasks as requested by the Team Leader of the National Observatory.
- Provide technical input to enhance data management systems.
Required Experience
- 1–2 years of practical experience in statistics, data analysis, or data management
- Experience in statistical analysis, data processing, and reporting; experience in anti-corruption, transparency, or governance-related data is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and professionally with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both on-site and remotely as needed.
- Teamwork skills and cultural sensitivity; ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics or any related field
