Overview
Internship opportunity to assist with family engagement for a program, focusing on outreach, data compilation, and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in onboarding and staff training.
- Assist with direct outreach to families for program enrollment.
- Compile attendance data.
- Conduct outreach to families of absent/tardy students.
- Assist in coordination of Parent Teacher Conferences.
- Coordinate and perform outreach to families for special events.
- Support with distribution and collection of student forms.
- Lead distribution of weekly family newsletter.
- Complete required reporting and documentation.
- Support with post-Academy needs.
- Comply with agency policies.
- Other relevant duties as assigned, including input of behavioral data, translations, occasional interpretation, and support to health director.
Required Experience
Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate student in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within the last 2 years.
