Overview

This internship supports student success by reviewing case notes, compiling data, and facilitating activities. The role aims to develop understanding of behavioral management strategies and contribute to data collection.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review case notes and compile student progress data weekly.
  • Support with case note writing and the creation of tools for behavioral interventions.
  • Collaborate with Classroom Culture Lead Teachers.
  • Monitor the execution of accommodations and behavior plans.
  • Participate in and assist with parent/teacher conferences and other family events.
  • Support students by facilitating or co-facilitating 1:1 and small-group activities.
  • Facilitate proactive circle time in classrooms or small groups.
  • Conduct family outreach for program-related updates.
  • Support post-Academy needs such as survey distribution.
  • Comply with all agency policies and protocols.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned, including programmatic outreach and supporting other teams.
Required Experience

Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate student in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field preferred.

Fluency in written and spoken English required.

Second language proficiency highly desirable (including Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, Haitian Creole, French, Pashto, Fulani, Wolof, Dari, Farsi, Arabic)
