Overview
The Evaluation Consultant will conduct a final evaluation of the project “Protection and Resilience in Vulnerable Migrant Populations Affected by the Sudan Conflict” to assess its achievement of stated objectives and intended outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and submit an inception report including refined evaluation objectives, methodology, data collection tools, and workplan.
- Conduct data collection through desk review, interviews, focus group discussions, and surveys.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and triangulate findings.
- Prepare and submit a draft and final evaluation report, including an executive summary, findings, conclusions, recommendations, and annexes.
- Prepare an Evaluation Brief summarizing key findings, conclusions, lessons learned, and recommendations.
- Populate the recommendations section of a Management Response Matrix.
Required Experience
- At least five (5) years of relevant evaluation experience, preferably in migration, humanitarian response, protection, or health programming.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OECD-DAC evaluation criteria and experience applying mixed-methods approaches.
- Proven experience conducting evaluations for UN agencies, international organizations, or donor-funded programmes.
- Demonstrated experience conducting participatory, gender-responsive, and ethically sound evaluations, including engagement with vulnerable populations.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree in evaluation, social sciences, public health, international development, or a related field.
