Overview
The National Investment & Technology Promotion (ITP) Expert and Deputy Head administers elements of technical cooperation programmes or specific projects and supports the effective day-to-day functioning of ITPO Russia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides operational support and coordination for the day-to-day functioning of ITPO Russia.
- Supports the ITPO Head in ensuring operational continuity and institutional memory.
- Supervises assigned staff and consultants.
- Supports the development and implementation of ITPO Russia activities related to investment and technology promotion.
- Coordinates the preparation of project documentation.
- Contributes to the preparation of reports and concept papers.
- Provides inputs to needs assessments and programme implementation activities.
- Supports partnership development and resource mobilization efforts.
- Provides technical advice to companies, organizations and institutions.
- Maintains regular working-level contacts with public and private institutions.
- Supports the organization of investment and technology promotion events.
- Liaises with UNIDO Headquarters and supports coordination with the United Nations Country Team (UNCT).
- Represents the ITPO Russia Head at conferences and official functions.
Required Experience
- First-level university degree (Bachelor’s): at least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced university degree (Master’s): at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Doctorate: at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Relevant professional experience, ideally at the international level, is required.
- Good communication and coordination skills are required.
- Familiarity with the business, investment and industrial climate in Russia and specific experience in cooperation with Russian authorities and business counterparts in development and implementation of international industrial development projects; experience in carrying out investment and technology promotion activities are required.
Qualifications
A first‑level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Management, International Relations, Economics, Foreign Trade or Corporate Governance or related disciplines is required. An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) or a Doctorate in the same fields are accepted with a reduced requirement for years of professional experience.
