Overview

Internship opportunity within the Office of Inspections and Investigations (OIGI) to assist in data collection, analysis, and research related to OIGI's caseload and investigative work.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in data collection, cleaning and collation;
  • Assist in the analysis of OIGI’s caseload and/or case-specific datasets;
  • Conduct research in internal databases and repositories and in open sources;
  • Assist in the development of the analytical capabilities in OIGI;
  • Assist with other facets of investigative work, including preliminary assessment of complaints, assisting with ongoing investigations and any other duties as required.
Required Experience

Previous exposure to investigative settings or experience in conducting crime-related quantitative research is an asset.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme in a relevant field, including but not limited to Law, Investigations, Criminology, Social Science or other related fields, from a recognised university OR recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme in a relevant field, including but not limited to Law, Investigations, Criminology, Social Science or other related fields (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme), from a recognised university; University course attendance in the past 12 months.

Remuneration
Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the maximum amount of US$1,000 per month depending on the duty station of assignment. WFP will reimburse travel ticket for candidates who are nationals of developing countries and are pursuing their studies in their home country.
