Overview
Provides technical and programmatic support in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), maternal health, family planning, and emergency SRH services. Supports policy processes, humanitarian preparedness and response, coordination, and programme support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and updating national SRHR policies, guidelines, and frameworks.
- Provide technical and administrative support to SRHR workplans.
- Support policy research and situation analyses.
- Assist in organizing technical meetings, consultations, workshops, and field missions.
- Provide support to emergency SRH preparedness, including MISP-related activities.
- Contribute to data collection during humanitarian needs assessments.
- Assist in coordinating SRH support to implementing partners.
- Support tracking and management of humanitarian SRH commodities.
- Contribute to drafting situation reports and inputs to humanitarian coordination platforms.
- Assist in preparing project proposals, budgets, and donor reporting inputs.
- Support monitoring and evaluation efforts.
- Participate in field visits to support implementing partners.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with UNFPA guidelines.
- Support coordination with government ministries, UN agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Participate in working groups such as the SRH Working Group, Health Cluster, and GBV Sub-Cluster.
- Provide administrative and technical assistance to strengthen partnerships.
- Contribute to advocacy and awareness-raising activities.
- Support resource mobilization for SRHR and humanitarian response.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and disseminating knowledge products.
- Support development of communication materials.
- Maintain updated records, databases, and documentation.
Required Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience in SRHR, public health, humanitarian response, or policy support.
- State of the art knowledge on policies related to sexual reproductive health and rights, maternal health, family planning and contraceptive technologies required.
- Field experience addressing/integrating sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights issues in emergency and post conflict contexts required.
- Practical experience in design, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of development projects required.
- Experience using office software packages and web-based management systems required.
- Experience of working with vulnerable communities is an asset.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nursing/Midwifery, Social Sciences, Health Policy, or other relevant fields.
