Overview

The New Business Development (NBD) Coordinator will work to grow funding and partnerships in Ukraine by developing high-quality Concept Notes and Proposals for timely submission, ensuring alignment with country and donor strategies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on proposal development process for all funding opportunities.
  • Produce proposal development schedules and track timelines.
  • Support in drafting non-technical sections of proposals.
  • Work closely with Finance, Technical Advisors, and Programme Operations to develop proposal budgets.
  • Coordinate with relevant staff and provide requested information in relation to proposals and reports.
  • Ensure Programme Quality Framework and Theory of Change are addressed in all new proposals.
  • Ensure internal SCI compliance documents are completed for each opportunity.
  • Assist in seeking and tracking donor intelligence on prospective new opportunities or partnerships.
  • Share information on new funding opportunities from various donors.
  • Support the development of capacity statements, one-pagers, and other engagement materials.
  • Represent SC in consortium meetings, donor engagements, and other relevant meetings.
  • Support the development of donor engagement plans.
  • Maintain an accessible information, knowledge sharing and learning platform on NBD data.
  • Ensure donor and Save the Children resources, templates, and tools are available.
  • Organize After Action Reviews of specific opportunities.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrated experience (min. 2 years) in coordinating and facilitating the development of major proposals to institutional donors, multilateral agencies, corporate donors, and/or foundations.
  • Experience having worked in one or more of the Save the Children priority sectors (Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, Child Protection, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, Shelter, WASH, Child Rights Governance) within an NGO or similar environment in development and/or emergency settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues through critical thinking, analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and the ability to lead key tasks to on-time completion under significant pressure.
  • Well-developed networking skills and ability to form productive working relationships with a wide range of internal colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Good personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain close and constructive working relationships with peers, management and staff in defining and fulfilling knowledge needs.
  • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs.
  • Ability and willingness to change work practices and hours in the event of major emergencies including travelling at short notice and for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work within a multicultural setting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, international relations, or related field (minimum).
  • Desirable Master’s degree in development studies, international relations, or related field.
