Overview

The role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the Migration Health programme in the ECA region, including resource mobilization, capacity building, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination and administrative support to migration health resource mobilization activities.
  • Support the identification of programming opportunities and potential donors.
  • Assist in preparing donor pitches, concept notes, and proposals.
  • Support internal MHD capacity-building activities through trainings, webinars, and workshops.
  • Assist in developing e-learning modules/on-line courses.
  • Compile HAP data and support evidence-based reporting and programme planning.
  • Document good practices and lessons learned.
  • Support cross-thematic coordination to integrate health activities within strategic plans.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and events.
  • Draft concept notes, proposals, donor reports, and publications.
  • Provide guidance/training and assist in coordinating and monitoring work of other staff.
  • May supervise other staff as assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least three years of professional experience in either/or applied health research, project development and implementation in context of recovery and humanitarian programmes, regular pathways, on public health, migration, and related fields in Social Sciences.
  • Experience in liaising with donors, in particular EU donors, governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies in particular IOM and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working on migration health with migrants, refugees, and internally displaced persons.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • School diploma with seven years of relevant experience; or,
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine and/or or Social Sciences or related fields from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience.
