Overview
This internship focuses on graphic design and visual communication to support the Planning, Finance & Economy Section (PFES) of UN-Habitat. The role involves creating compelling visual content to communicate the section's work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design of graphics for social media, infographics, reports, and event materials.
- Transform data and research into engaging infographics and visual formats.
- Produce promotional visuals, videos, and presentations.
- Design and format official publications, reports, and brochures.
- Create artwork for social media posts and campaigns.
- Support editing, curation, and archiving of photo and video material.
- Ensure visual designs align with UN-Habitat's corporate identity.
- Contribute to branding and visual identity for events and campaigns.
- Review performance metrics and adapt design strategies.
- Support integration of visual assets into communication outputs.
- Contribute to the development of a design and media library.
Required Experience
- Experience working in urban design, communication or graphic design is required.
- General social media management experience is desirable.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Graduated with Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent.
- Computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Preferred areas of study: Communication, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Journalism, or Media studies, International development, or related field relevant for sustainable urban development.
