Overview
The role contributes to reaching corporate fundraising goals by focusing on new companies and negotiating agreements with key corporate prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and monitoring of the annual Workplan and Budget for corporate fundraising.
- Provides technical support on the preparation of the Corporate Fundraising workplan, Corporate Plans, RER and other documents.
- Performs in depth technical analysis of corporate fundraising trends and best practices.
- Monitors and regularly reports on progress against income and budget targets.
- Negotiates with potential corporate partners.
- Prepares and makes UNICEF proposals through targeted presentations for potential corporate partners.
- Analyses the national market, identifies opportunities and potential corporate partners.
- Prepares necessary documentation for Salesforce submission.
- Drafts agreements with Corporations.
- Maintains a positive and collaborative working relationship with partners.
- Provides technical support on the approval of the partners marketing and promotional activity plans and executions.
- Works with a positive attitude for teamwork within the corporate team and in collaboration with other PFP and CCO’s areas.
- Implements corporate initiatives through which obtain more pledge donors.
- Prepares and offers sponsorship deals for corporate partners.
- Carries out administrative and operational control tasks during special event & projects.
- Monitors income on a regular basis to ensure agreed targets are met.
- Assures UNICEF visual brand identity is consistent across all agreements.
Required Experience
- 6 years of progressively responsible work experience in fundraising areas and/or corporate alliances areas and/or marketing and advertisement areas or agencies will be an asset.
- Commercial experience preferably in the acquisition of new corporate / B2B clients, key account management, and/or the establishment of strategic alliances with private‑sector organizations.
- Experience in fundraising with companies and/or private foundations or other related fields.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school.
- Technical and/or university level courses in Communication, Business or Management Administration, International Relations, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or related fields, will be an asset.
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a relevant field may replace three years of related work experience.
- A master’s degree may replace additional two years.
