Overview
The Senior Project Associate will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and support to strategic guidance of IOM’s Migration Health programming in Poland.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently coordinate the preparation, implementation and monitoring of migration health projects.
- Monitor compliance of projects and programs’ financial, administrative and technical oversight.
- Provide technical guidance and support to health mediators.
- Proactively support resource mobilization by identifying areas of new opportunities and proposing project ideas.
- Coordinate the preparation of regular status updates on activities and ensure proper documentation of health-related activities.
- Identify and document good practices and lessons learned; contribute to the development of SOPs, policies and concept papers.
- Coordinate, support and provide guidance to implementing partners.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct capacity building workshops.
- Support coordination with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Interior, WHO Country Office and other UN agencies, relevant NGOs.
- Participate in relevant coordination forums, maintaining collaboration with local health authorities and partner organizations.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in public health, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights or related fields, or seven years of relevant experience with a school diploma.
- Operational and field experience in implementing health activities for migrants, refugees and displaced persons and other vulnerable groups.
- Demonstrated experience in coordination and liaison with government authorities.
- Knowledge of structures and functions of the primary health care system, and of national, UN and international health agencies and donors.
- Experience in project development and resource mobilization is an advantage.
- Experience working in the region is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights or related fields from an accredited academic institution, or
- School diploma.
