Overview
Internship opportunity within the Office of the Secretary General (OSG), specifically the Policy Planning Unit (PPU), focusing on policy input, advice, strategic anticipation, and analysis for NATO senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and developing policy inputs.
- Support foresight and analysis.
- Support strategic projects.
- Stimulate debate in NATO and beyond.
- Engage with outside actors on security policy issues.
- Conduct independent research and literature reviews.
- Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading policy products.
- Assist in preparing and compiling policy papers on strategic foresight.
- Take minutes during meetings and conferences and write reports.
- Contribute to speechwriting.
- Help with administrative and substantive preparation of meetings, seminars, events, and workshops.
- Monitor policy deliberations in Allied committees.
Required Experience
• Previous experience with other international organizations, national administration, research or industry (desirable).
Qualifications
- At least two years of university level studies OR equivalent education OR currently a student OR a recent graduate (degree obtained no longer than 12 months ago).
- Bachelor's degree or in the final stage of a Master’s degree relevant to the requested area of expertise (desirable).
