Overview
Supports communication and outreach activities for the Division for Gender Affairs of ECLAC, including initiatives related to the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean and the Regional Gender Agenda. Provides assistance in the production and delivery of information communications products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports communication and outreach activities related to the work of the Division for Gender Affairs of ECLAC.
- Provides specialized assistance in the production and delivery of information communications products and services.
- Researches information sources, compiles and presents information for communications products/services.
- Serves as an information focal point on UN activities open to accredited press and coordinates media coverage.
- Organizes and executes special events, coordinating with partners and media.
- Handles administrative coordination in support of special training and other programmes.
- Performs junior photo-librarian functions.
- Oversees the distribution of audio and video materials.
- Serves as the online marketing and promotion coordinator.
- Assists in the production and editing of projects, radio programmes, or website projects.
- Participates in planning and execution of live broadcasts or taping of programs.
- Assists in the electronic dissemination of programmes.
- Identifies and prepares new material for inclusion in appropriate web pages.
- Manages updates and further develops internal databases.
- Provides guidance and training to junior staff.
- Assists with the collection and analysis of data.
- Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
- Supports the preparation, editing and dissemination of institutional communication products.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least seven years of experience in public communication, international broadcasting or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience supporting strategic communication initiatives, including the development and implementation of communication plans is desirable. Experience working in communication activities related to intergovernmental processes, regional forums or policy dialogue processes is desirable. Experience in public communication in the field of Gender Equality and women's rights is desirable. One year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational certificate or studies in journalism is desirable.
