Overview

The Implementing Partner Support Associate is responsible for conducting expenditure verifications provided by Implementing Partners and providing support for IOM auditing processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure provisions from Special Conditions are applied by IPs.
  • Provide support for external and internal IOM auditing.
  • Assist with the preparation, printing and filing of financial IP audit reports.
  • Follow up on changes in the Financial and Administrative Framework Agreement (FAFA) provision.
  • Review Financial Reports by counterchecking data with certified copies and supporting documents.
  • Conduct verification of personnel, office, and operational costs.
  • Ensure procurement procedures are followed by IPs.
  • Verify physical assets purchased by the IP.
  • Maintain communication with IPs.
  • Support and monitor procedures to verify IP performance and financial reports.
  • Assist in providing information and drafting audit responses for EU Institutions.
  • Administer and monitor agreements and cost plans.
  • Monitor budget utilization and provide information to management.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers on budget implementation.
  • Facilitate knowledge building, sharing, and capacity building of IPs.
  • Follow IP timelines for activity implementation and prepare milestones for funding disbursements.
  • Assist with the preparation of invoices, payment requests, and goods receipts for IP payments.
Required Experience
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience (with a university degree).
  • Five years of relevant professional experience (with a high school graduate).
  • Previous experience in a similar function a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution; OR
  • High school graduate.
