Overview
To support the rollout of training activities under the Sef Ples Blong Yumi Phase II project, strengthening the capacity of national, provincial, and community stakeholders in Evacuation Centre Management (ECM) and Displacement and Evacuation Centre Management (DECM) coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, preparation, and scheduling of Training of Trainers (ToT) and community-level ECM trainings.
- Comprehend, understand and be able to deliver training content on humanitarian systems, displacement tracking and evacuation centre management.
- Support in management of training schedules and timeframes, management of finances, movement between locations.
- Liaise, communicate and collaborate with AHP partners, provincial stakeholders, and CDCCCs.
- Coordinate with NDMO/DECM Cluster, provincial administrations, Area Administrators and AHP partners on schedules, venues and participants.
- Prepare brief action points; align logistics with IOM procedures.
- Collect attendance, consent, pre- and post-training surveys to track understanding.
- Participate in training evaluations and reflection sessions and support follow-up mentoring of new facilitators.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years facilitating trainings/community capacity-building (EC management, DRR, WASH, Shelter/Protection preferred).
- Experience working with government (NDMO/Provincial Government/Area Councils), NGOs or community groups in Vanuatu.
- Hands-on experience with evacuation centre operations and IEC production/use.
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualification in Disaster Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, Education, or equivalent experience.
