Overview

This temporary position supports the Contingent Owned Equipment (COE) Unit by conducting inspections and maintaining records related to formed units' compliance with Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).


Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts inspections of formed units to verify compliance with MOUs.
  • Raises and processes COE Verification Reports.
  • Provides advice on COE/MOU related matters.
  • Maintains inventories of COE and records of UNOE.
  • Participates in pre-deployment visits.
  • Maintains documentary and electronic files and archives records.
  • Reports loss or damage to COE.
  • Oversees issuance of UN owned equipment and services.
  • Maintains up-to-date Organization Charts on units.
Required Experience

A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in material management and logistics-support related activities is required. Practical experience in conducting Arrival, Operational Readiness, Repatriation, Periodic inspections of formed units and preparing COE Verification Reports related to the inspections, is required. Experience in the use of COE Modules in the eCOE System, is desirable. Experience in the procedures related to implementation and management in the field of MOUs is desirable. Experience providing services to or in a field operation of the United Nations Common System or a comparable international organization is desirable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
