Overview

Support the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) in establishing a value chain-based facilitation mechanism to strengthen suppliers' and retailers' capacity to implement sustainability actions within the Agri-food value chain.


Key Responsibilities
  • Building the foundational stakeholder base and industry outreach communication materials.
  • Mapping the landscape of relevant TA initiatives, corporate programmes, and business coalitions active in the agri-food sector.
  • Facilitating structured engagement between corporations and TA initiatives to identify collaboration and pilot opportunities.
  • Support the design and launch of initial pilot projects connecting corporates with TA providers at supplier level.
  • Document early lessons and develop insights to support continuous improvement of the facilitation mechanism, support advocacy campaigns and respond to stakeholder feedback.
  • Support efforts to ensure outcomes can be easily replicated and scaled for other related programmes/value chains.
Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of stakeholder engagement, ideally involving private sector, development agencies, and civil society actors, is required. Strong understanding of sustainability in value chains, including corporate procurement standards, supplier capacity challenges, related international frameworks, and the role of technical assistance initiatives is required. Experience in stakeholder mapping, knowledge management, and developing accessible communication materials for diverse audiences is preferred. Experience of working on specific topics related to the agri-food value chain would be an advantage. Experience of working in international or intergovernmental organizations would be an advantage.

Qualifications

Advanced University degree (master's or equivalent) in sustainable development, engineering, international development, business administration or related fields. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
