Overview

Provide administrative support to the Policy and Liaison Unit and the Regional Migrant Response Plan, including drafting documents, organizing meetings, and supporting project activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Policy and Liaison Unit and the Regional Migrant Response Plan (MRP).
  • Draft meeting reports and minutes, routine correspondence, and IOM documents and forms.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of meetings and events.
  • Support routine administrative tasks related to the implementation and monitoring of multi‑year and multi‑country EU GCM project activities.
  • Provide administrative support for project activities by assisting in collecting updates, organizing documentation, and tracking follow‑up actions.
  • Assist in organizing regular RMRP meetings and documenting outcomes.
  • Provide administrative support for interactions with regional bodies, UN Country Networks, and government counterparts.
  • Assist in preparing and formatting public information documents, presentations, website content, and reports.
  • Gather and organize information needed for agendas and concept notes.
  • Support the preparation of background materials and documentation.
  • Collect inputs from Country Offices and compile information into required formats.
  • Support routine administrative tasks related to the Regional UN Network on Migration.
  • Assist with policy knowledge‑sharing and regional knowledge management activities.
Required Experience
  • Two years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, social sciences or a related degree.
  • Four years of relevant experience with a High school diploma.
  • Experience supporting teams with administrative functions that includes assisting with project and finance management.
  • Knowledge of migration and displacement issues, ideally in the African or EHoA context (desired).
  • Assist with basic information gathering as necessary to support project development and implementation, and monitoring activities for completion.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, social sciences or a related degree from an accredited academic institution.
  • High school diploma.
