Overview

The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of supply chain and procurement functions in line with IOM policies, standards and commitments as part of the Gaza response team in Egypt.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support with planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring various procurement and logistic processes.
  • Conduct landscape survey of the local market for goods or services.
  • Assist in coordinating procurement processes including tender documents or RFQs.
  • Review procurement documents for adequacy, recording, and accuracy.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and requisite authorizations.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular field visits to engage with partners and monitor shipments.
  • Liaise with partners and stakeholders on incoming shipments.
  • Liaise with partners and service providers to obtain updates and compile payment documents.
  • Liaise with Finance and other departments to support invoice issuance and payment receipt.
  • Verify field procurements are properly documented.
  • Coordinate movement and storage of goods and services.
  • Plan and prepare procurement actions and analyze requests.
  • Follow-up on purchase order status and inform requestors of delivery times.
  • Monitor inventory control and goods tracking systems.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports and maintain the master database.
Required Experience
  • Four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
  • Six years of relevant professional experience with a Completed High School degree.
  • Experience in procurement and logistics to timely source goods and services.
  • Proficiency in MS office applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Effectively works with vendors and service providers to secure cost-effective quality solutions.
  • Experience in international operations in a post conflict environment is desirable.
  • Proficiency in overseeing tender processes, bid evaluations, and contract management.
  • Experience in analyzing market trends and supplier capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing procurement documents.
  • Experience in verifying goods or services received and conducting quality control checks.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with an international organization or NGO in the procurement section.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Completed High School degree from accredited academic institution.
