Overview

The National Multimedia Officer will lead the implementation of the social media strategy and plan, and support other communications-related tasks for the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Lao PDR.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of social media strategy and plan, including managing and updating the plan, supporting social media campaigns, developing and adapting multimedia assets, preparing social media packs, preparing and publishing content on the UNRCO website and social media channels, creating social media content, supporting graphic design and video shooting/editing, monitoring and reporting on social media performance, providing recommendations for improvement, and engaging with online audiences.
  • Support other communications-related tasks, including monitoring media coverage, collecting and summarizing media coverage, providing basic Lao translation, maintaining communication materials inventory, supporting events and meetings, and performing other assigned tasks.
Required Experience
  • At least 1 year of professional work experience in social media (including paid social media such as boosting and advertisement), multimedia production, public relations, or advertising.
  • Experience in graphic design, photography, video shooting and editing.
  • Experience in or familiarity with a humanitarian setting a significant asset.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing communications, journalism, advertising or a related area.
