Overview
Responsible for managing conduct, capability, grievance and disciplinary matters, and for developing and maintaining HR People Policies and supporting documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing conduct, capability, grievance and disciplinary matters
- Driving proactive initiatives to prevent ER matters from escalating
- Developing and maintaining ER owned HR People Policies and supporting documentation
- Making recommendations on changes to HR Policies to meet best practice, align to NCPRs and industry practice or support the Agency’s business strategy
Required Experience
- 2 years post-related experience
- Extensive hands on experience of managing Employee Relations
- Proven track record of designing and delivering a range of initiatives including those related to HR projects, HR policy, HR practices and HR related business initiatives
- Strategic and operational HR expertise in developing and implementing employment policy
- Experience of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrable experience and skills in de-escalation techniques and structured mediation
- Demonstrable experience and strong verbal skills for difficult conversations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline
- A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered
