Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of project activities, including management of family planning services, facilitating health insurance usage, and supporting community-led WASH services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implement family planning projects in two Mae Sariang camps
  • Oversee the implementation of quality FP, RCH programs and ensure that program goals, objectives, targets, and activities are met
  • Conduct FP training for the usage of long / short term FP methods and provide technical oversight
  • Ensure the utilization of family planning drugs and medical supplies are in line with protocols
  • Provide technical oversight in reviewing monthly consumption patterns, approving monthly requisition, and facilitate the procurement of medical supplies
  • Identify technical quality and/or other implementation issues and provide solutions
  • Ensure that the health program is implemented in line with the donor’s principles
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of systematic data collection, storage and dissemination tools
  • Strengthen the skills and knowledge of data collection, reporting, assess training needs of health program staff, develop training plans and provide refresher training
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Required Experience

Minimum five (5) years working experience, of which at least two years in clinical care, family planning services, and training of health staff, preferably in a primary care setting. Previous work experience in reproductive health in a refugee setting or in developing country is a plus.

Qualifications

MD or MBBS; Post Graduate Diploma on Family Medicine/Pediatric/ Obstetrics and Gynecology

Languages Preferred
Proficiency in Burmese, Thai, Karen is an advantage.

Work Modality
The position will be based in the IRC office in Mae Sot, with frequent and regular travel to the Mae La Own and Mae Rama Luang) refugee camps, and the Thailand-Myanmar border area.
