Overview
Develop and implement social media content plans, produce digital assets, and optimize bilingual website content for regional activities in the Americas and the Caribbean.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed monthly plan and content calendar for regional social media content on X, Facebook and LinkedIn, covering Caribbean regional priorities and multi-hazard early warning systems (MHEWS/EW4All).
- Curate and publish regional stories in English and Spanish across relevant platforms, including drafting post copy for ROAC channels.
- Produce, translate and adapt digital assets for ROAC social media channels (LinkedIn, X and Facebook), including social media cards and formats tailored for Caribbean engagement and MHEWS-related messaging.
- Produce a monthly report summarizing results, including reach, engagement metrics and content performance, with recommendations to optimize future content.
- Coordinate with relevant counterparts and partners to collect inputs, validate messaging, and ensure timely publication of Caribbean and MHEWS/EW4All content across ROAC channels.
- Develop an Action plan with recommendations for bilingual coherence and content performance improvement.
- Consultation with UNDRR Web team to define a calendar and implement the approved recommendations.
- Creation of fifteen (15) event pages in both English and Spanish.
Required Experience
- Three (3) years of working experience in social media management is required.
- Experience in copywriting, editing, and designing , including experience editing videos (Adobe Suite package) is required.
- Experience with Google Analytics, tracking and reporting quantitative social media analytics, and qualitative social media analytics is required.
- Experience with Drupal multi-domain and Hootsuite multi-domain environments, as well as video editing for social media is desirable.
- Experience within the United Nations system or any other similar international organization is desirable.
- Experience in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in the Americas and the Caribbean is desirable.
Qualifications
A first-level university degree in marketing, digital communication, or communications is required.
