Support the development of a full project proposal for submission and review, focusing on strengthening climate change resilience in urban residential neighborhoods.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the area of climate risk/climate change is required. Proven experience working with and supporting governments and UN agencies is required. Good understanding of climate change, the human development habitat sector, environmental management, adaptation, vulnerability and impacts, and other related topics is required. Proven experience in submitting projects to donors is required. This experience may include: climate change, climate change vulnerability and risk analysis including the housing sector, climate change adaptation program formulation, coordination of multi-sectoral initiatives, development planning and budgeting, development management, public administration and other related initiatives.
Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in environmental science, natural resources, civil engineering, sustainable urban development, or other related fields. A first degree with 2 additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree is required.
