The Human Rights Officer will prepare reports and documents on subjects relating to racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, and engage with stakeholders to combat these issues.
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, law or related area is required. Experience working on racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance and human rights is required. Experience developing human rights programmes and operational activities with various stakeholders at the national and/or regional levels is required. Experience conducting research on human rights and racial discrimination and providing analytical advice and inputs for human rights reports and programmes is required. Experience in leading a team and supervising staff is required.
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
