Overview

The Team Coordinator role involves coordinating and supervising an operational team within the Finance Unit, ensuring the delivery of results within established Service Level Agreements and providing support for financial management activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of an operational team in banking, accounts payable, assets, bank reconciliation, and other Finance Unit areas.
  • Ensure delivery of results within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and effective client responses.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) in accounts payable.
  • Support transition activities, including knowledge transfer and stabilization for newly onboarded countries in the I2P process.
  • Develop and coordinate a training plan aligned with the I2P Vertical Integration roadmap.
  • Exchange and/or provide information to internal and external partners and provide information/clarification to auditors.
  • Monitor team work and review performance reports.
  • Prepare, analyse, and evaluate information from financial records and provide inputs for operational improvement.
  • Provide support to assigned projects, monitor progress, and report to management.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and undertake requirements gathering activities.
  • Participate in the development of training and related materials, and promote best practices and capacity development.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in people management, administration, accounting and/or audit, budget or finance.
  • Extent and relevance of experience in procurement, finance, business analysis, banking and/or accounting as well as payment processing and/or reconciliation or supplier banking records masterfile maintenance.
  • Extent and relevance of knowledge and experience in analysing and evaluating financial reports and/or experience in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
  • Knowledge of standard financial operational rules and procedures in a large scale organization, and knowledge of administrative management procedures of projects and programmes is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and database, or knowledge of other financial modules or applications relevant to finance operation is considered an asset.
  • Experience in a shared services or business support centre is highly desirable.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in business or public administration or any other discipline relevant to the work of the Organization.
  • Consultants with bachelor's degree need two additional years of relevant professional experience.

• Working knowledge (proficient - level C) of English and limited knowledge of another FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish).
