Overview
This consultancy will focus on UNICEF’s engagement in the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) from its design stage through implementation, documenting experiences and providing recommendations for future similar arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a brief inception report refining the scope and methodology.
- Conduct data collection and analysis.
- Produce a draft report and PPT presentation.
- Prepare a final report and validation workshop with CMT.
- Submit final report (integrating comments), with a 2-page brief and final PPT presentation.
Required Experience
- At least ten years’ experience in managing development programmes, in evaluation.
- Demonstrated expertise in documenting and assessing development programme, including use of mixed-methods of data collection and strong synthesis and sense-making skills to distil lessons learned and validate findings.
- Deep understanding of UNICEF’s mandate, programming modalities, internal processes, governance, and operational mechanisms.
- Experience with systems strengthening approaches in health, nutrition, and social services.
- Knowledge of loan-financed development programmes is an asset.
Qualifications
• Advanced university degree, preferably in evaluation, social studies or a related field. A combination of relevant academic background and relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
