Overview
The role involves monitoring and evaluation activities to support UNICEF's multisectoral programs in Venezuela, focusing on vulnerable populations and ensuring timely and culturally appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor local context and its impact on UNICEF's cooperation program.
- Track the situation of children through data collection and reporting.
- Monitor program performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.
- Support the planning and management of strategic evaluations.
- Enhance program effectiveness through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Represent UNICEF in coordination meetings and facilitate information flow.
- Prepare and support donor visits and contribute to donor reports.
Required Experience
- 7 years of professional experience with increasing responsibilities in program/project development and planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and coordination, preferably in field settings and remote/underserved areas.
- Experience working in multicultural and/or indigenous contexts, particularly with vulnerable or hard-to-reach populations (a significant advantage).
- Experience in humanitarian action, community-based programming, climate resilience, DRR, or sustainability (an advantage).
- Previous experience with the UN system or other international development/humanitarian organizations (desirable).
- Substantial and demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation (results frameworks, indicators, data quality assurance, field monitoring, evaluations) (highly desirable).
- Experience supporting donor engagement (visits, missions, compliance, results traceability) (an advantage).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Policy/Administration, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Public Health, Nutrition, Education, Environmental Health, WASH, Monitoring and Evaluation, Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Risk Reduction, Indigenous Peoples' studies, or another relevant field.
