Extended Case Management Internship

Overview

This internship provides hands-on experience in case management, assisting refugee clients with essential services to support their journey towards self-sufficiency in the U.S.


Key Responsibilities
  • Shadowing caseworkers and learning to deliver core services
  • Assisting clients with benefits applications, orientations, job searches, and transportation
  • Delivering food and in-kind donations
  • Assisting with personal finance and bill payment
  • Navigating medical insurance and home visits
  • Facilitating client relocations and community referrals
  • Supporting data compliance, including case filing, noting, data entry, and tracking
  • Participating in weekly casework team meetings
Required Experience

• Experience working with refugees/diverse populations

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate/undergraduate program, or graduated less than 6 months ago
  • Background in social work OR other related fields
  • Strong computer skill with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work as a team member in a cross-cultural environment
