Overview
This internship provides hands-on experience in the intensive case management (ICM) program, supporting vulnerable refugee clients in their journey to self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadowing caseworkers and learning how to deliver core services
- Assisting clients with core services, including benefits applications, job search, financial management, and transportation
- Referring and connecting clients to community services
- Assisting walk-in clients
- Supporting caseworkers in data compliance, including case filing, case noting, data entry, and tracking
- Participating in weekly casework team meetings
Required Experience
• Experience working with refugees/diverse populations, elderly, domestic violence survivors, or people with disabilities
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a graduate/undergraduate program, or have graduated less than 6 months ago
