Overview
Implement Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning activities for assigned projects in designated operational areas. This role supports data analysis, field visits, and the implementation of MEAL systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist MEAL Coordinator in carrying out baseline, endline and internal evaluation surveys, analysing data and drafting reports.
- Conduct monitoring field visits and ensure activities progress alignment with the initial plan.
- Support in implementation of MEAL systems.
- Support in development of performance monitoring framework.
- Work closely with projects’ staff to ensure accountability systems are in place.
- Assist project team in day-to-day monitoring of the project.
- Support in development of outputs and outcomes indicator tracking sheet, indicator performance tracking tools IPTTs and output tracker.
- Support program staff with data collection tools development, deployment, and supervision of use.
- Establish and support the implementation of a data management system.
- Undertake regular visits from targeted areas to support monitoring, evaluation, impact assessment processes and accountability processes.
- Monitor and document the progress of ongoing programme activities against agreed indicators.
- Collect accurate and timely data of programme activities.
- Prepare reports as required on programming activities.
- Development of case studies to capture qualitative outputs of the project.
- Feed quality benchmark narration into MIS.
- Give company to representatives of project stakeholders during joint-monitoring visits.
- Update project’s indicators status and achievement level into MIS.
Required Experience
- Two-years proven experience in the field of data analyses and MEAL with INGOs/NGOs
- Previous experience in programming areas of child poverty, anticipatory action, education, child protection, food security, and livelihoods among others
- Maturity and confidence in dealing with the staff of government institutions, and communities.
Qualifications
University degree in Development Studies or Social Sciences, with a most preference for candidates holding a degree in Computer Science (BCS).
