Overview
The Programme Management - Senior Officer supports the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) by managing regional portfolios, leading resource mobilization, and facilitating stakeholder dialogues to accelerate greener energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly report on regional energy transition developments and analyze their impact on ETP’s work.
- Work closely with country teams to ensure cohesion between the regional portfolio and country priorities.
- Manage project activities by coordinating with implementing partners, ensuring milestones are met and activities progress towards intended outcomes.
- Coordinate with other ETP team members on project progress and milestones.
- Lead quality control measures in the implementation of a portfolio of project activities.
- Contribute to the effective monitoring and evaluation of ETP program and projects.
- Contribute to the development and initiation of projects for the regional programme.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with stakeholders and facilitate ETP visibility.
- Analyze interest and priorities of key donors and development partners.
- Develop/update and implement the resource mobilization and partnership strategy.
- Develop programme level partnerships with government, donors, and other partners.
- Support ETP with its resource mobilization activities, including identifying opportunities and resources.
- Document impact/success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Support capacity building and networking of implementing partners, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
Required Experience
- 4 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in preferably Energy Policy, Energy Systems, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, Public Policy, Climate Change, Economics, Sustainable Development, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above or related fields.
- Relevant experience is work in the energy sector, energy transition, climate issues, environment and development work, which should include program management, preferably with an extended specialized experience in any of the thematic areas of energy transition at the national level or related areas.
- Proficiency in standard computer software (Word, Excel, presentations, databases, and internet) or Google Suite.
- Desired Experience supporting or delivering technical assistance programmes in Southeast Asia.
- Desired Experience organising or facilitating high-level stakeholder dialogues, workshops, or regional platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in preferably Energy Policy, Energy Systems, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, Public Policy, Climate Change, Economics, Sustainable Development, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above or related fields.
