Overview

The incumbent is responsible for the operation of the NATO Headquarters Building Management System (BMS), ensuring the continual monitoring and oversight of all technical and building section activities. They perform daily building performance audits and provide diagnostic solutions to faults.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the BMS and monitor all building activities of the HQ.
  • Provide the BMS Supervisor with planned preventive maintenance schedules for the system.
  • Program the BMS and other facilities systems for automatic, periodic testing and improvements.
  • Support high-level events.
  • Participate in a duty role to provide 24/7 support on site including weekends.
  • Work outside business hours and take all requests for Facilities Management across the entire chain of activities, including BMS, Building, Technical and Electronic Security System (ESS) requests.
  • Analyse the behaviour of the buildings with respect to the set point, contributes to the optimization of field installations and establish the various control parameters associated with the BMS.
  • Evaluate and address alarms or technical malfunctions swiftly.
  • Support the BMS Section with the quality control, inspection, monitoring, and validation of works executed by external service providers.
  • Maintain regular contact with the other Sections within WMBC.
  • Perform daily auditing of building performance by utilising the facilities built on the BMS.
  • Perform any other related duty as assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least 3 years experience in the operation of building management systems;
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the working principles of all technical installations connected to the BMS, especially electrical installations, HVAC installations and plumping;
  • Capable of operating BMS software and operating systems, including troubleshooting and reporting technical issues, as well as interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals;
  • Extensive experience in the control of a centralised management system (advantage);
  • Good IT knowledge (advantage).
Qualifications

• Possess a secondary-level diploma in electrical, electronic or Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems, or equivalent level of qualification;

• Possess the following minimum levels of NATO’s official languages (English/French): V (“Advanced”) in one; I (“Beginner”) in the other.

Contract Duration
Definite duration contract of three years’ duration; possibility of an indefinite duration contract thereafter.
Work Modality

Remuneration
• 4,205.48 Euro (EUR) Monthly
