Overview

The multimedia producer lead conceives and produces a full range of platform-tailored, engaging and impactful multimedia content for NATO’s digital ecosystem. The incumbent supports the Head of Multimedia and deputizes for them in their absence, aiming to engage NATO’s audiences through social media platforms and the NATO website.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conceive and produce multimedia content including reels, edited videos, animations, photos, graphics and other visuals.
  • Support the Head of Multimedia and deputize for them in their absence.
  • Keep abreast of social media trends and digital platforms, exploring new techniques for enhancing multimedia production.
  • Organise and oversee elements necessary to deliver projects of highest quality on time.
  • Provide editorial and production support to external contractors.
  • Secure all production logistics when preparing coverage.
  • Coordinate multimedia content through the approvals process, with careful attention to version control.
  • Contribute to uploading content to the multimedia section of the NATO website.
  • Ensure proper archival of content, following protocols for file naming, tagging and metadata.
  • Write video and reel scripts, shot lists, collaterals, background information to microcontent and photo albums, including captions and necessary releases.
  • Prepare B-roll packages and other products for use by international media.
  • Perform any other related duty as assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a multimedia producer for social media platforms or in a similar role engaging audiences through visual storytelling.
  • Expertise creating bespoke content for social media campaigns.
  • Proven expertise in dealing with external media crews, production companies and in non-linear editing software, in particular Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience working in an agency environment (advantage).
  • Experience overseeing coverage of international events (advantage).
  • Experience presenting on camera (advantage).
Qualifications

• A university degree in communication, journalism or a relevant field.

Other Details
Languages Required
• Minimum levels of NATO’s official languages (English/French): V (“Advanced”) in one; I (“Beginner”) in the other.
Languages Preferred
• A higher level in the other official language. • Knowledge of other software included in the Adobe Creative suite.
Contract Duration
Definite duration contract of three years; possibility of renewal for up to three years.
