Overview
Seeking a Senior Technician (Information Systems AirC2) to work within the CIS Support Unit in Uedem, Germany. The role involves systems administration of complex computer systems and knowledge of AirC2 Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Installs, operates and maintains assigned CORE Systems software, Databases and other Applications and ICT Platforms (IS).
- Supports the applications and data integrity of assigned ICT Platforms (IS).
- Supports IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Maintains liaison with other CSU internal units, Service Lines and other technical organisations.
- Provides support related to local CIS Service provision during the execution phase.
- Documents the design and configuration of assigned applications and ICT Platforms (IS) and the required operating procedures.
- Implements procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of applications and ICT Platforms (IS) and provides reports as required.
- Monitors and reports on the capacity of the assigned applications and ICT Platforms (IS).
- Assists with and implements assigned project work packages.
- May participate in 24/7 duties if required.
- May perform any other duties as required.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience within the area of Systems Administration of complex computer systems.
- Knowledge of AirC2 systems.
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements (asset).
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT (asset).
- Knowledge of ACCS (asset).
Qualifications
• Vocational training at a higher administrative level in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
