Overview
The incumbent will act as an information security contact point, monitoring security events, implementing security tools, and contributing to security strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
- - Participating as a member of the UNRWA-wide network of information security staff.
- - Acting as a focal point for location-specific processes, procedures, and tools.
- - Acting as the focal point for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery activities.
- - Delivering training and participating in security-related exercises.
- - Providing daily monitoring of security-related events and responding to incidents.
- - Implementing and managing security tools such as firewalls, anti-malware solutions, and EDR.
- - Executing technical evaluations, including penetration tests.
- - Contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- - Coordinating the vulnerability management process.
- - Participating in security-related audits and assessments.
- - Performing evaluations and research for security-related projects.
- - Coordinating security awareness initiatives.
- - Contributing to UNRWA-wide security strategy development and budget planning.
- - Keeping abreast of latest technology developments and developing security-related capacity.
Required Experience
Five years of progressively responsible and professional related experience in IT cybersecurity, software development, risk management or infrastructure is required.
Qualifications
- - A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, information technology, electrical or computer engineering or related discipline.
- - Certifications in security technologies and tools, e.g., CCNA Security, Fortinet, CrowdStrike or equivalent.
- - Desirable: Cybersecurity certifications, e.g., CISSP, SSCP, SANS certifications, Offensive Security certifications, Security+, CySA+, Splunk, Cisco Certified CyberOps and similar.
- - Desirable: Microsoft Azure cloud certifications.
- - Desirable: Knowledge of UNRWA's operations and computer facilities environment.
