Overview

The Movement Operations Associate is responsible for managing and processing travel requests for migrants and refugees under IOM's auspices, ensuring compliance with framework agreements and organizational guidelines.


Key Responsibilities
  • Record demographic and biographic information in MiMOSA and confirm receipt of travel requests.
  • Secure and account for travel documents in accordance with local SOPs.
  • Process exit permits in coordination with supervisors and relevant authorities.
  • Prepare travel-ready documentation for Field Support colleagues.
  • Prepare reports on documentation receipt to service delivery.
  • Assist in preparing regular data mining reports to ensure MiMOSA accuracy.
  • Provide feedback on work accomplished and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Undertake duty travel as required.
  • Uphold RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards and IOM Standards of Conduct.
Required Experience
  • Prior Movement Operations, transportation-related and/or management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Work experience in programs including movement operations component, particularly in resettlement programs.
  • Experience with communicating with beneficiaries.
  • Experience with processing systems such as MiMOSA and iGATOR.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with handling sensitive information and personal data.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with 5 years of work experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 3 years of relevant work experience.

Languages Required
• Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
• Oral and written fluency of beneficiary’s languages of Tajiki/Dari and Russian is an advantage.
