Overview

The Programme Analyst supports programme monitoring, reporting, and compliance processes across UNFPA Ukraine’s portfolio, contributing to strengthening programme performance tracking, data quality, and alignment between planning, implementation, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the implementation of the country programme and its component projects by strengthening programme monitoring, reporting, and compliance processes.
  • Contributing to the analysis of programme performance and operational context, identifying risks, gaps, and areas requiring corrective actions.
  • Supporting the integration of policy and procedural requirements into programme implementation.
  • Supporting implementing partner (IP) management and oversight, including monitoring IP performance, reviewing reports, and supporting HACT assurance activities.
  • Supporting the implementation of other PC&QAU functions, including strengthening programme monitoring and performance tracking systems.
  • Contributing to the development and application of knowledge management practices.
  • Supporting preparation of programme documentation and analytical inputs for reporting, advocacy, and resource mobilisation purposes.
  • Facilitating coordination between programme, operations, and relevant stakeholders.
Required Experience

Two years of professional experience in the field of development and population activities; Experience in programme/ project management including experience in large multi-sector projects, designing and appraising proposals and actively liaising with relevant and potential project partners; Proven experience in coordinating/managing a multi-disciplinary team of staff, experts and consultants; Experience in drafting and implementing legislation; Field experience is an asset; Prior experience in the UN system is an asset.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science discipline.
