Overview

The Programme Analyst on Sexual and Reproductive Health substantively contributes to the effective delivery of the SRH components of the country program. S/he analyses and assesses relevant political, social and economic trends and provides substantive inputs to project formulation and evaluation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the results-based planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of UNFPA SRH programmes.
  • Contributes substantively to the implementation of the country programme and its component projects.
  • Ensures quality of SRH programme design.
  • Analyzes and interprets the political, social and economic environment relevant to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
  • Keeps abreast of new policy developments and strategies.
  • Expedites and coordinates project implementation.
  • Provides technical support to the development of relevant advocacy and policy documents.
  • Helps create and document knowledge about current and emerging sexual and reproductive health and rights issues.
  • Assists advocacy and resource mobilization efforts of CO.
  • Promotes innovation, knowledge sharing, and replication of good practices.
Required Experience
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience working in SRH implementation, preferably including in a complex, volatile, humanitarian context.
  • Experience working through Implementing Partners and establishing / managing remote monitoring systems an asset.
  • Previous experience in the UN or with UNFPA is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the context (norms, culture, language) in the duty station is an asset.
Qualifications

Advanced degree in medicine, public health and/or other related social science field.
