Overview
The Policy Officer will support EU Member States and associated countries in strengthening their research and innovation systems and capacities. The role involves gathering intelligence on R&I policy developments and supporting improvements through dialogue.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a country desk for one or more EU Member States/s.
- Gather intelligence on R&I policy developments in Member States.
- Establish collaborative relations to support R&I system improvements.
- Monitor and analyse R&I policies and performance, including European Semester cycle and Recovery and Resilience Facility.
- Contribute to the Policy Support Facility and Cohesion Policy funding.
- Contribute to horizontal work and outreach activities within the Unit.
- Engage with other Commission services, national/regional authorities, research institutions, universities, and enterprises.
- Participate in working groups and conferences.
- Prepare speeches and briefings for hierarchy.
Required Experience
Sufficient experience in monitoring and analysis of research and innovation policies and performance, in particular at national and/or regional level.
Qualifications
- Completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
- Qualifications issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities.
