Overview

The role involves assisting the Director in organisational and monitoring tasks within the Joint Audit Directorate for Cohesion (DAC) of the European Commission.


Key Responsibilities
  • Filtering the Director’s e-mails and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Ensuring timely management of Ares, attribution of incoming mail, and monitoring of e-signatories.
  • Ensuring timely signature of audit documents.
  • Monitoring briefing requests and ensuring timely validation by the Director.
  • Ensuring good internal communication and cooperation with the Directorate's units.
  • Ensuring good communication with administrative assistants of Director-Generals offices.
  • Organising internal and external meetings.
  • Supporting the Director’s HR and financial assistant with administration procedures and budget forecast.
  • Participating in the clerical, administrative and logistical organisation of multilateral meetings.
Required Experience

A few years of working experience working in secretariats within the European Institutions (especially European Commission), in particular with senior managers, will be considered a strong asset.

Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.

Languages Required
• A thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU • AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
Languages Preferred
A good working knowledge of French would be an advantage.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

The place of employment will be Brussels
Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances.
