The role holder will ensure high-quality implementation of NRC’s core competencies, manage support functions, ensure compliance with NRC policies, and represent NRC at the area level. They are a key member of the Country Management Group (CMG) and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Minimum 4 years of relevant leadership/management experience within the humanitarian field. Experience in conflict-affected settings, Middle East preferred. Proven skills in leadership, management of large and diverse team, and strategic planning. Demonstrated experience in security management and risk mitigation. Strong budget management, HR and logistics oversight experience. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing environments. Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity. Critical thinking with a constructive approach to problem-solving. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to staff well-being, inclusion, and team dynamics, especially in multi-cultural settings. Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Bachelor's degree in international relations, Development Studies, Business Administration or related field required. Master’s degree is an added value.
