Overview
The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the logistics setup adheres to NRC standards and supports programme/project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Line management responsibilities for directly reporting staff, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, staff induction and development, and ensuring Duty of Care.
- Ensure country logistics structure complies with NRC Logistical Guidelines, NRC policies, and donor requirements.
- Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures and develop in-country logistics policy documentation.
- Ensure timely provision of logistics support services to all NRC CO program activities.
- Maintain close communication, coordination, and planning with all logistics and program managers in all NRC Area Offices.
- Provide an enabling environment for cash-based interventions through collaboration and development of relevant guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for cash-based interventions and market-based programs.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience from working as a senior Logistics Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context.
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Experience of data collection, analysis and report writing.
- Knowledge of market analysis tools and approaches.
- Experience with start-up, exit, or similar, including experience in establishing new systems and procedures in start-ups.
Qualifications
Master’s degree.
