Overview

The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the logistics setup adheres to NRC standards and supports programme/project implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Line management responsibilities for directly reporting staff, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, staff induction and development, and ensuring Duty of Care.
  • Ensure country logistics structure complies with NRC Logistical Guidelines, NRC policies, and donor requirements.
  • Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures and develop in-country logistics policy documentation.
  • Ensure timely provision of logistics support services to all NRC CO program activities.
  • Maintain close communication, coordination, and planning with all logistics and program managers in all NRC Area Offices.
  • Provide an enabling environment for cash-based interventions through collaboration and development of relevant guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for cash-based interventions and market-based programs.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience from working as a senior Logistics Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Experience of data collection, analysis and report writing.
  • Knowledge of market analysis tools and approaches.
  • Experience with start-up, exit, or similar, including experience in establishing new systems and procedures in start-ups.
Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Other Details
Languages Required
Fluency in French and English both written and verbal.
Languages Preferred
Good knowledge of Haitian Créole is an advantage.
Contract Duration
12 months (renewable subject to funding and performance)
