Overview
This post serves as the Organization’s lead technical authority on personal data protection and privacy, providing technical leadership in establishing and rolling out the corporate regulatory framework on personal data protection and privacy in UNICEF, including monitoring and addressing risks of personal data processing.

Required Experience
- A minimum of eight years progressively responsible professional experience in law, information security, risk management, auditing and/or compliance or a related field is required.
- At least five years professional experience in an area involving data protection or privacy is required.
- Experience working for a large international corporation or international organization is required.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment is essential.
- Demonstrated maturity in judgment and interpersonal skills is essential, strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risks and opportunities, implement related measures, manage complex situations, and provide sound and timely advice, is essential.
- Proven communication skills, including facilitation and use of tools for online and face-to-face workshops, presentations, discussions and networking of strategic information is essential.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in business or public administration, law, finance, accounting, or computer/information science, is required.
